PlayStation has announced that the PlayStation 5 will receive a beta that includes new features for 3D audio and remote play. The beta also includes new features exclusive to the latest model of the PlayStation 5.
So far, PlayStation has had an uneventful 2024. Its Q1 2024 slate was set with massive releases in February and March. In February, Square Enix launched Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the long anticipated follow-up to 2021’s Final Fantasy VII Remake. In March, Team Ninja launched Rise of the Ronin, a brand new action game. Currently, a closed beta for Marvel Rivals is available to play on the console.
PlayStation 5 Confirms New Details About Latest Console Beta
PlayStation has confirmed new details about the next beta for the PlayStation 5. The beta includes new features for both 3D Audio and Remote Play. Players can create a personalized 3D audio profile. This will be compatible with 3D audio supported headphones like the Pulse Elite wireless headset and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds.
Further, according to the announcement post, “You can now adjust Remote Play settings per user and choose who is allowed to connect to your PS5 console using Remote Play. So, if your friends or family members come over and sign in to your PS5 console with their account for PlayStation Network, you can easily modify who can continue to access your PS5 console using Remote Play when they leave.”
There’s also a new adaptive charging feature. It will help save power by adjusting the length of time that power is supplied to your controller based on its battery level. It’s available exclusively on the latest PlayStation 5 models.
The features will be rolled out to everyone in the coming weeks and months.
