During the SNK Developer Panel at EVO 2024, the company announced that a new Samurai Shodown action RPG and Art of Fighting game are currently in development. SNK did not reveal any new details about these titles, including platforms and release dates, but information about these games can be traced back to September 2023.
As reported by Final Weapon in September 2023, a 4Gamer interview indicated that SNK was considering a new Art of Fighting game at the time. The new title was in the “brainstorming” stage, according to SNK producer Yasuyuki Oda. Oda noted that exact gameplay systems are not concrete just yet for this new Art of Fighting game. He also stated that several titles are currently in development at SNK, and a Samurai Shodown action RPG was further along than the new Art of Fighting game.
SNK is currently developing Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the exciting sequel to GAROU: Mark of the Wolves.
