    Kaiju No. 8 Sequel Anime Revealed, New Cast Member Confirmed

    The final episode of Kaiju No. 8 has revealed that a sequel anime is in development. It has also confirmed a new member of the series’ cast.

    The Kaiju No. 8 manga by Naoya Matsumoto entered serialization in Manga Plus in 2020, and it’s still ongoing with a cult following backing its success. Ahead of Jump Festa 2024, the anime’s staff revealed a new key visual for Kaiju No. 8, with the promise of more information on the horizon. In February, they also revealed the series’ April release date. It is available to watch now on Crunchyroll. A mobile game is also in development.

    The final episode of Kaiju No. 8 has aired. With the premiere, the anime has confirmed that a sequel series is in development. At the time of writing, a release date and story is unknown. However, it has been confirmed that Kōki Uchiyama will play Gen Harumi. Check out the announcement teaser below:

    In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.

    Kaiju No. 8 is available to watch on Crunchyroll. A sequel anime will release at some point in the near future.
