Genshin Impact PC Launcher Being Updated to HoYoPlay

HoYoPlay is the launcher for all HoYoverse titles going forward.

HoYoverse announced the Genshin Impact PC launcher will be updated on June 17 to the HoYoPlay launcher. The launcher will allow PC gamers to access all of their HoYoverse titles in one convenient place.

The Genshin Impact PC launcher will cease maintenance on support on June 17 at 11:00 (UTC+8). Afterward, players will see a new HoYoPlay icon on their desktop after an update. A full Q&A is available with additional information for players who have yet to install the HoYoPlay launcher.

Genshin Impact Version 4.7 launched on June 5 and continued the main story. More secrets of Khaenri’ah were revealed as Traveler and Dainsleif reunited once more. The update also brought Story Quests for Clorinde and Sigewinne, two new playable characters coming with the update.

The new update adds three new playable characters: five-star Electro sword wielder Clorinde, five-star Hydro bow wielder Sigewinne, and four-star Electro bow wielder Sethos. In the Version 4.7 Event Wishes, Clorinde and Sethos are available in the first half with Alhaitham’s rerun. The second half will feature Sigewinne alongside Furina’s rerun.

Starting July 1, Genshin Impact will finally receive a new challenge domain called “Imaginarium Theater.” Found in a hidden chamber within Mondstadt Library, Imaginarium Theater offers combat challenges of multiple difficulty levels, requiring characters of designated elements to participate. There’s a limit to the number of times that players can fight in the new domain. While playing, players will receive a variety of buffs and debuffs as well.

Lastly, Genshin Impact is available now for Android, iOS, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Windows and Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch version is currently in development, but a release date has not been announced yet.
