During the latest episode of NGS Headline, SEGA revealed new updates for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis coming in June 2024, including another new Sonic the Hedgehog collab. This time, Shadow the Hedgehog will arrive in Central City.
Starting June 5, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Chapter 7 will be available. The protagonists are called up by Crawford to meet Pharia and head to the Nameless City. Moreover, a new quest, Nameless City Exploration, will grant rewards to players who explore the area, collect Exploration Points, and unlock chests. These points may be earned by defeating enemies or touching Unlock Signs.








Defense is reduced depending on the amount of Exploration Points players hold, and these points ear halved when players are incapacitated. Opening chests will consume Exploration Points over time. Alongside Nameless City Exploration, new quests and an level cap increase to 90 will be available. What’s more, the new 11-star rarity Eredemin weapon series will be available with the Nameless City update.
The Creative Space will offer new Far Eastern themes in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis soon. Items include new Japona Build Parts that help players create Japanese-style buildings, Pharia and Zephetoo ARKS ID backgrounds, fantasy adventure wear and wedding dresses.
On June 12, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will celebrate Sonic the Hedgehog’s 33rd birthday. Objects of Sonic, Shadow, and their friends return to Central City. Players may gather Rings and Chaos Emeralds placed in the course to earn more Quest Points. The more Points players earn, the more they enhance their abilities.
Lastly, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store, Windows, and Steam.
