ATLUS and SEGA have released a new trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, titled ‘The Ultimate Beginning’. It was previously announced that this trailer would be released tonight, with Atlus stating this video will act as the third trailer. Take a look below:
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is an expanded and enhanced version of Shin Megami Tensei V, which launched exclusively for Nintendo Switch in 2021. This enhanced version offers two complete story paths, with loads of new content previously not available. Of course, both visuals and frame rate have been enhanced for this release, allowing for 4K 60fps on newer platforms.
The title was officially unveiled in February of this year. Dozens of new demons, locations, and decisions have been added, with many being part of the new Canon of Vengeance storyline. This new trailer today focuses heavily on this storyline, with many cutscenes and characters who are entirely new to the game.
As a reminder, ATLUS is set to hold ATLUS Fes from June 8 to 9 in Akihabara. This event will take place mere days before the launch of SMTV:V, with demos available for both this title and ATLUS’ upcoming Metaphor: ReFantazio. With many rumors surrounding Persona 6 swirling, many fans are interested to see if ATLUS will tease the future of the series at this event.
Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance launches on June 14 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam worldwide.
