SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced the Essence of Fandom: Like a Dragon & Yakuza Experience event will be held at Anime Expo 2024. Series chief producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto will be attending the event alongside Kazuhiro Nakaya, the Japanese voice actor for Ichiban Kasuga and Akira Nishikiyama.
The next Like a Dragon game is currently in development, and auditions for the game’s “Minato Girls” is opening soon in Japan. It make take a while before the game is formally revealed by SEGA, but fans can celebrate Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and the entire series up to this point at Anime Expo 2024.
Essence of Fandom: Like a Dragon & Yakuza Experience Event Details
The Essence of Fandom: Like a Dragon & Yakuza Experience event will be held at Lounge 21 during Anime Expo 2024 on July 6, starting at 8:00 p.m. PST. VampyBitMe will host the event with themed activities and special guests, including Sakamoto and Nakaya.
Fans can sing along to their favorite tunes from the series in the Ichiban Karaoke Competition invitational featuring other special guests. There will also be photo opportunities with cosplayers, special gifts to attendees while supplies last, and so much more.

- Saturday Anime Expo access via 1-day or 4-day pass required for entry and a separate ticket to Essence of Fandom is also required for entry.
- Tickets for Essence of Fandom: Like a Dragon & Yakuza Experience will go on sale on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 12pm PST at $20 per person and are limited to 650.
- This is a 21+ event requiring a valid government-issued photo ID
