In a recent press release, Amazon and Crystal Dynamics have announced that a Tomb Raider series will be coming to Prime Video. Phoebe Waller-Bridge will produce the upcoming series. This will be separate from Netflix’s upcoming Tomb Raider anime. Additionally, Amazon is currently working with Crystal Dynamics on a new Tomb Raider game. If I could tell my teenage self that this was happening, I think she’d explode. Tomb Raider has been a huge part of my life and I feel incredibly privileged to be bringing it to television with such passionate collaborators. Lara means a lot to me, as she does to many, and I can’t wait to go on this adventure. Bats ‘n all.

At the time of writing, it is currently unclear whether or not the upcoming series is live action, animated, or CGI. Amazon and Crystal Dynamics will likely reveal more about the upcoming series in the coming months. Additionally, expect more information about the next Tomb Raider game and anime to be available before the end of the year.
