A new Tomb Raider game is in development with Unreal Engine 5

During State of Unreal, Crystal Dynamics GM Dallas Dickinson announced that a new Tomb Raider game is in development using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 5! The new engine brings “next level storytelling in gameplay experiences” according to Dickinson. Dickinson adds that Crystal Dynamics is proud to be part of today’s launch of Unreal Engine 5.

The development team’s goal for the new Tomb Raider game is to push graphical fidelity with a high-quality cinematic action-adventure experience. Further details about the game were not announced at State of Unreal. Crystal Dynamics joins a large group of developers working with Unreal Engine 5 such as PlayStation and Xbox.
