Sony Interactive Entertainment says that Helldivers 2 sales have reached over twelve million copies. Additionally, Sony revealed that Helldivers 2‘s sales surpassed God of War Ragnarok‘s during its same post-launch period in 2022. The notable video game website Gematsu reported this news.
The game’s publisher, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and its developer, Arrowhead Game Studios, announced this milestone on May 5. This new milestone makes it Sony’s most successful PC game to date.
Helldivers 2 Sales are Reaching New Heights
The multiplatform release of Helldivers 2 (PS5 and PC) significantly boosted Sony Group Corporation’s sales and profits. Helldivers 2 made a significant impact in the fourth quarter of the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024.

HELLDIVERS™ 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.
