Bandai Namco announced the Gundam Breaker 4 Standard Edition has been upgraded to the “Launch Edition” for fans in the Americas. The Launch Edition includes additional goods that Gundam fans will want to own.
Announced at the February 2023 Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, Gundam Breaker lets players build their ultimate Gunpla from over 250 base kits. Players can defeat enemies to gain more parts, so there’s an endless amount of Gunpla combinations to come up with. This past March, the Gundam Breaker 4 closed network test allowed players in Japan to test out the game before launch.
Gundam Breaker 4 Launch Edition Contents
The Gundam Breaker 4 Launch Edition (for PS5 and Switch only) will be available as the new standard edition. Moreover, players who also pre-ordered the Collector’s Edition will receive the Launch Edition contents. These contents include reversible cover art, a custom Gunpla poster, and early unlocks for Builder’s Parts and the RX-78 Gundam recirculation color.

Reversible Cover Art – For the Western market, the game cover features custom Gunpla made with parts from fan-favorite mobile suits, such as Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Mobile Fighter G Gundam, and Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury. The Japanese version of the game cover features Gundam Aerial and Full Armor Knight Gundam engaged in combat with the iconic series enemy, the towering 1/60 Perfect Grade RX-78-2.
Custom Gunpla Poster – The 11”x17” poster will feature an up-close image of the signature mobile suit of GUNDAM BREAKER 4, the Gunbarrel Strike (Gundam Breaker ver.). Echoing the box art and Steelbook case of the Collector’s Edition, the mobile suit is based on designs from Mu La Flaga’s Moebius Zero, in a heroic pose in the midst of a battle in space.
Lastly, Gundam Breaker 4 launches in 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. Here’s an overview of the new title:
