HoYoverse revealed new details about features coming in Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3 this summer, including a major update to the Simulated Universe in-game activity.
The Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.2 “Then Wake to Weep” Special Program livestream will be held on April 26. This livestream will reveal all of the new details regarding Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.2, including new story quests, characters, events, and rewards. Before the livestream begins, HoYoverse is preparing fans for the update that will follow.
New Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3 Features – Include Divergent Universe
In Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3, one of the new features for the game will be Divergent Universe. Divergent Universe is a grand overhaul of Simulated Universe with more varied combinations between Blessings and Curios. Regardless of the player’s progression in the current Simulated Universe, everyone will be able to participate in Divergent Universe without trouble. According to HoYoverse, it will also be a “major research focus” for the future of Simulated Universe, which will remain the same for the time being.
A new Planar Ornament Quick-Claim function will be available in Divergent Universe. After clearing Divergent Universe, players may enter the Curios and Blessings they obtained in this run into a save file. Players can directly challenge different bosses using their save files to obtain Planar Ornaments. This save file will be reset each week.
Divergent Universe will feature unique rewards as well, alongside leveling materials and Stellar Jades. Players who clear the activity will get weekly points for Simulated Universe, allowing them to claim rewards.
Moreover, a Restart Challenge option will be available. Players may restart a challenge with a single button to avoid suffering from mistakes and other mishaps during the session. After selecting the option, they will restart the current battle with previously triggered Techniques, if applicable.
Apocalyptic Shadow
Version 2.3 will also introduce the new permanent game mode called Apocalyptic Shadow. In Apocalyptic Shadow, players must face materializations of the Finality and bosses they’ve faced before. These enemies will have slight differences than their regular counterparts. Players are encouraged to read up on enemy traits when the battle begins. Gain up to 720 Stellar Jades alongside other rewards by completing each phase of Apocalyptic Shadow.
Two weeks after the Apocalyptic Shadow is updated, a new Pure Fiction phase will begin. In similar fashion, a new Memory of Chaos phase will begin two weeks after Pure Fiction. Players can plan accordingly and set up their teams in advance. What’s more, a new function will allow Trailblazers to drag-and-drop characters already selected in their nodes to quickly adjust team position and setup.
Finally, Honkai: Star Rail is available now for Android via Google Play Store, iOS via App Store, PlayStation 5, and PC via Epic Games Store.
