Rabbit & Bear Studios have confirmed that a sequel to strategy RPG Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is being planned. The announcement was made in a pre-launch Reddit AMA.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a Kickstarter-funded RPG inspired by the popular Suikoden series by Konami, with Suikoden creator Yoshitaka Murayama at the helm. Murayama sadly passed away on February 6 from a chronic illness, but his legacy will shine through Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes and the upcoming Suikoden remasters.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Sequel in the Works
Rabbit & Bear Studios is moving ahead with a sequel to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. According to the studio, Murayama discussed many things with the developers about the sequel before his passing.
“We are moving forward with a sequel. It is very sad that Murayama is not with us anymore, but we have discussed many things with him. I hope we will be able to carry on Murayama’s legacy, and I always want to treasure his last work. I hope many people will support this game.”
Pre-orders for the game are still available now on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, Nintendo eShop, and Steam. Two editions of the game are available for pre-order. First, there is the standard edition, which includes no other goodies besides the main game. The digital deluxe edition features the following items:

- 6X HP Recovery
- 2X Revive
- 3X Evacuation Item
- Season Pass
- Digital Mini Artbook
- 1X Headquarters Custom Object (R&B Statue)
The standard edition will cost $49.99, while the digital deluxe edition costs $79.99. Players who pre-order the game will receive a 1X Headquarters Custom Object (Flag) and an Early Bird Pack with one rune and accessory. Both pre-order bonuses will be sold separately on a later date.
Lastly, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will release on April 23, 2024 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam and GOG, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
