Konami announced Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars has been delayed to unannounced date. Originally, the remasters were planned for a 2023 release, but the company’s latest message suggests the title will release next year.
This past April, Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars was rated in Taiwan for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. News about the title has been scarce all year, and the lack of news appears to be due to ongoing development efforts at Konami.
Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Delayed
The official X (Twitter) account for the Suikoden series confirms that Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars has been delayed. A new release date was not given, but the message implies that the remasters will no longer release in 2023. Konami notes that it reached a decision that more time is needed for further quality improvements and gameplay enhancements “despite the very best efforts” to release the game this year.

Regarding the planned release of Suikoden I & II HD Remaster: Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars, we have reached the conclusion that despite the very best efforts of our dedicated development staff to release the remasters in 2023, additional time is needed to ensure the quality performance and gameplay experience our users deserve.
The entire Suikoden team is renewing our efforts to bring Suikoden I & II HD Remaster to release as soon as possible.
We will further release information as soon as its available, on our official social media accounts and official homepage. We appreciate your understanding and sincerely hope you will continue to lend Suikoden your support.
