    Final Fantasy XIV and Yokai Watch Collab Event Returns on April 24

    Square Enix announced the Yokai Watch collab event will return to Final Fantasy XIV on April 24. For a limited-time, players will be able to earn special cosmetics and gear themed after LEVEL-5’s Yokai Watch series. 

    This summer, players will embark on a new adventure in the continent of Tural in the Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion. A Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail benchmark will be available starting on April 14, allowing players to see the new graphical updates for themselves and check out the new female Hrothgar race in the character creation tool. Just 10 days later, players may enjoy the returning Yokai Watch collab event.

    Final Fantasy XIV x Yokai Watch Collab Event

    The Yokai Watch event for Final Fantasy XIV features various mounts and items based on creatures from the series, including the mascot Jibanyan. A new framer’s kit will also be available when the event arrives on April 24. More details will likely be revealed before the event begins, so stay tuned and follow Final Fantasy XIV’s official Twitter account.

    The Final Fantasy XVI collaboration event is live in Final Fantasy XIV until May 8 at 7:59 a.m. PDT, featuring a new crossover storyline called “The Path Infernal.” Players must be at least level 50 and have completed the main scenario quest “The Ultimate Weapon” to start the crossover quest “A Land on Fire” in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald.

    Completing the crossover questline awards players the Metian set, which is Clive Rosfield’s iconic outfit from Final Fantasy XVI. A Torgal mount and Torgal Pup minion will also be available alongside a new Clive Rosfield Triple Triad card and various Orchestrion Rolls featuring music from the Final Fantasy XVI original soundtrack.

    Final Fantasy XIV is now available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion launches on July 2, with early access beginning on June 28.
