Bethesda has officially announced that the next-gen update for Fallout 4 will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 25. The update will be completely free for everyone who owns Fallout 4.
More than a year ago, Bethesda confirmed that Fallout 4 is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players who already own the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One may upgrade to the new versions for free, but further details remained scarce for nearly 14 months. In December, Bethesda confirmed that they had delayed the update to 2024. It will now release later in April, likely to celebrate the recent premiere of the live-action Fallout show.
Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update Releasing Later in April, New Details Confirmed
Bethesda has recently confirmed that the Fallout 4 next-gen update will finally launch on April 25. The update will be available on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. A minor update adding widescreen and ultra-widescreen support for PC as well as an update adding stability updates for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will also be available.
The upcoming update will add 60 FPS, quality improvements, resolution improvements, stability fixes, and more for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It also adds an Enclave-themed quest and cosmetic pack, a makeshift weapons pack, and a “Halloween workshop.” Everything mentioned above and more will be available for free later this April.
