Fallout TV Series Now Releasing April 10 on Prime Video

    A surprise early release!

Tonight, Prime Video announced that the highly anticipated Fallout Season 1 will premiere early at 6 PM PDT this Wednesday, April 10. All eight episodes will release at this time. The series was originally set to premiere on Friday, April 12. This surprise was announced during a commercial that premiered in the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship.

Series Executive Producer Johnathan Nolan directed the first three episodes of the series. Other Executive Producers include Lisa Joy, Athena Wickham, Todd Howard, and James Altman. The first official footage of Fallout was premiered at Gamescom 2023 by Todd Howard. In the following months, new footage and trailers were revealed, showcasing new cast members and story information.

Fallout follows Lucy and her adventures outside of Vault 33. Other major characters include Maximus, The Ghoul, Overseer Hank, and CX404. Prime Video describes Season 1 of Fallout as the following:

Based on one of the greatest video games of all time, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. 200 years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the incredibly complex, gleefully weird and highly violent universe waiting for them above.

This week, it was revealed that California proposed a $25 million tax credit to move filming from New York to the state. According to Variety, Season 2 of Fallout is set to begin filming this September in Toronto. It’s not yet confirmed whether or not this will relocate with this new tax credit.

Once again, the entirety of Fallout Season 1 will premiere on Wednesday, April 10, at 6 PM PDT. The series will exclusively be available on Prime Video.
