HIDIVE Announces Streaming Subscription Price Increase

Aiding further app improvements and anime releases.

HIDIVE announced changes to anime streaming service’s pricing, with a price increase to monthly and yearly subscriptions. The announcement comes shortly after the website and app’s major relaunch.

HIDIVE has undergone multiple changes in the past year, including the shutdown of its streaming service in select regions outside of North America in December 2023. On March 7, the HIDIVE website and app designs were revamped with quality-of-life improvements and new features. The improvements come at a greater cost for subscriptions going forward as HIDIVE continues to improve its service.

    HIDIVE Streaming Service Price Increase

Going forward, monthly HIDIVE subscriptions will be $5.99, and yearly subscriptions will be $59.99. This is a price increase of $1.00 per month (previously $4.99), or $12 per year (previously $47.99). On the support page, HIDIVE notes that the price increase will help the streaming platform bring more anime and improve the overall user experience.

“What’s prompting this adjustment? It is to ensure that we can continue bringing you the anime you love on even more streaming platforms with our new and improved app experience. Continue enjoying unlimited anime streaming at your convenience and thank you for your ongoing support as a HIDIVE subscriber!”

The new HIDIVE website and app is now live with a sleek and simplified design, improved search options, and enhanced discoverability. This means that fans can easily select the latest simulcasts for Chained Soldier, catch up on recent seasons like The Eminence in Shadow Season 2, or watch classics like Lupin the 3rd.

Other new in-app features include offline viewing, customized watchlists, and expanded watch history. More features will rollout in the coming weeks, including enhanced search, revamped subtitle preferences, customized profile and avatars, and much more. In the coming months, the HIDIVE app will be coming to even more TV platforms.

Similarly to Crunchyroll and Hulu, HIDIVE offers a wide variety of anime with English subtitles and voice-overs, including The Eminence in Shadow and Oshi no Ko. Moreover, the platform offers simulcasting with many popular series including Ragna Crimson and Helck, allowing fans to watch new anime episodes alongside the Japanese premiere.
