The official Twitter/X account for the upcoming Plus-Sized Elf anime confirms that it will premiere in July 2024. A new key visual was unveiled during the AnimeJapan 2024 stage event for the anime.
Synecdoche initially wrote the Plus-Sized Elf manga from 2016-2021. A sequel series, titled Plus-Sized Elf: Second Helping! released in 2021, and the series is still ongoing to this day. Publishing company Akita Shoten announced the anime adaptation for Plus-Sized Elf back in January 2024.
Plus-Sized Elf July 2024 Premiere and New Key Visual
The staff of the upcoming Plus-Sized Elf anime series recently confirmed three new cast members. Takahide Ishii will play Tomoatsu Naoe, Ayaka Fukuhara will play Oga, and Rena Hasegawa will play Kuroeda. They join Ayasa Itō as the titular plus-sized elf, Elfuda. Details about the anime’s staff were not revealed yet, however.
Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing the original manga series. The publisher will also be releasing new editions of the manga with new covers. Those looking to catch up on the series before the anime adaptation premieres this year can find the original manga and its sequel, Plus-Sized Elf: Second Helping! at most local and online retailers.
