    Ubisoft has officially outlined the post-launch roadmap for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. The announcement comes just a few months after the Metroidvania’s launch. The newly confirmed post-launch updates include new costumes, a new story DLC, new modes, and more.

    Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is the first new entry in the series in over fifteen years. The game returns the series to its 2D roots and ends up sharing a lot of similarities to the Metroidvania genre. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown went gold and released on January 18. The game supports 60 FPS on all platforms, including Nintendo Switch in both docked and handheld modes. Check out our review of the game here.

    On the official Ubisoft website, the company outlined what fans can expect from Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown‘s post-launch content. To start with, a free update will be available on March 20 called “Warrior’s Path.” The update includes speedrun and permadeath modes, alongside four new outfits for the game’s protagonist, Sargon.

    Later in the Spring, “Boss Attack,” another free update, will be released. The update will include a boss rush mode and two more outfits for Sargon. In Summer, Ubisoft will add new combat, puzzle, and platforming challenges, as well as new outfits and amulets, in “The Divine Trials” update. This update will also be free.

    Finally, “later in 2024,” a new story DLC will be available. It is unknown how much this DLC will cost and what it will entail for the game’s world and narrative. Ubisoft will likely reveal more details about all of the new updates mentioned above in the coming weeks and months.

    Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is available now on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The first post-launch content update for the game will be available on March 20.
