    Street Fighter 6 Reveals Monster Hunter Collaboration

    It's a 20th Anniversary Celebration!

    Street Fighter 6 will be having a collaboration with the Monster Hunter franchise to celebrate its 20th anniversary. This news comes from Street Fighter‘s official YouTube account, where a new trailer shows off the new collaboration.

    Street Fighter 6 has collaborated with popular franchises such as SPY x FamilyMega-Man, and many more. After the success of previous collaborations, Capcom is considering doing more. Having said that, this collaboration celebrates a massive milestone for the Monster Hunter franchise.

    Street Fighter 6 x Monster Hunter – A Brand New Collaboration

     

     

    This collaboration celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Monster Hunter franchise. Players can traverse the Battle Hub in Rathalos Armor, showing off their new equipment to other players. Additionally, players can take photos in a redesigned space. While the Battle Hub will have decorations celebrating Monster Hunter, it’s unclear whether a new area will be created. This collaboration arrives in April, with more information to be revealed later.

    Celebrating its 20th anniversary in March 2024, the Monster Hunter series consists of hunting action games that pit players against giant monsters in beautiful natural environments. Beginning with the first title in 2004, the series established a new genre in which players cooperate to hunt ferocious monsters with their friends and has since grown into a global phenomenon with cumulative sales of the series exceeding 97 million units as of December 31, 2023.

    Moreover, Capcom is also celebrating the franchise’s anniversary by having the Monster Hunter Stories games release on new platforms.  On June 14, Monster Hunter Stories hits Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam. Its sequel, Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, joins PlayStation 4 the same day.

    Street Fighter 6 is available now on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC via Steam, and Xbox Series X|S.
