SNK announced that King of Fighters XV will have a Last Chance Qualifier for the SNK World Championship 2023 (SWC 2023). This news comes from SWC 2023’s start.gg page.
The SNK World Championship 2023 is an esports tournament where players fight for the position of the world’s strongest in King of Fighters XV. Regional qualifying events will take place globally, culminating in a final competition featuring 32 finalists on March 16-17.
The Last Chance Qualifier for King of Fighters XV Will Soon Begin
This Last Chance Qualifier will occur at AVALON Hollywood in Los Angeles on March 15. 32 competitors worldwide will battle for the last two spots in the SWC 2023. The Last Chance Qualifier represents an opportunity for fighters who have yet to secure their spot in the championship. With a cap at 128 entries, competition is expected to be fierce. Additionally, SNK will offer a KOFXV-branded fightstick and an original SNK poster to the first 150 visitors each day of the finals. This is to show appreciation to all participants.
Following the qualifier, the main event will take place over the weekend of March 16 and 17. Finalists will showcase their skills in KOFXV, vying for their share of the $200,000 prize money. King of Fighters XV is the latest installment in the iconic King of Fighters series, developed and published by SNK. Launched in 2022, KOFXV continues the series’ tradition of 3-on-3 team-based fighting gameplay, allowing players to select a team of three characters to compete in matches. The game features a robust roster of fighters, combining classic characters beloved by fans with new faces.
