Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door & Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD News Reportedly Coming on Mario Day 2024

    News coming Sunday.

    Published:

Reputable Nintendo leaker Pyoro has teased news for both Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD for Mario Day 2024. If you’re unfamiliar with the celebratory day, Mario Day (MAR10 Day) occurs on March 10 of each year. Nintendo tends to celebrate with something each time. March 10 falls on a Sunday this year, so it’s likely Nintendo will take the day to share new trailers and information about these upcoming titles.

Besides Princess Peach Showtime! and Endless Ocean Luminous, these are the only other confirmed titles set to release on Switch this year from Nintendo. It’s likely they’ll both be released sometime between June and September.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a remaster of the beloved GameCube title, with new updated graphics and visuals to take advantage of the Switch hardware. This was first announced during the September 2023 Nintendo Direct. At this time, all we know is that the game is scheduled to be released sometime in 2024.

On the other hand, Luigi’s Mansion 2 is another title set to release on Switch this year. Originally released for the Nintendo 3DS, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, or Luigi’s Mansion 2, is the sequel to the GameCube Luigi’s Mansion. A third game, Luigi’s Mansion 3, was released on Halloween 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. This visually enhanced version was first announced at the June 2023 Nintendo Direct. Be sure to read about the reveal here

Pyoro is rarely wrong when it comes to things like this, so be on the lookout this Sunday for more information. We’ll be sure to keep you updated if and when any news officially drops from Nintendo.
