Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – Luck Stat Explained

In Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, you might be curious about the implications of the Luck stat found on each character’s stat sheet. It’s a statistic that can be overlooked and one that can truly level the playing field against some of the toughest foes. Here’s everything you need to know about Luck in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

    What is Luck?

The Luck statistic is exactly what it sounds like – luck! It increases each character’s chances for Critical hits in combat. Additionally, those with the Steal ability have a heightened success threshold when it comes to utilizing this move in combat.

    Why is Luck Important?

Luck can be extremely useful to consistently land critical hits. These attacks do significantly more damage than regular attacks and can be spotted with a small “Critical” tagline above the number of damage dealt.

By increasing your Luck stat, you can increase the amount of critical hit damage you deal to enemies. This can be extremely useful to help defeat some of the largest and toughest enemies in the game, whether it be in the story, in a side quest, in a minigame, or in the Combat Simulator.

    How to Increase Luck Stat

To increase your luck stat, there are a number of different routes you can take. The first and the easiest is to level up each of your party members to the maximum level. They will each earn Luck among other stats with every level up, so you’re guaranteed to continue building this stat here. Next, you can also equip a Luck Up Materia. This will amplify the amount of luck your character has. Finally, some characters have Luck stat boosts that can be unlocked in the Folio system. Purchasing these will automatically increase the amount of Luck they have.
