Nintendo has announced a remake of the 2010 Nintendo Wii Classic, Epic Mickey, titled Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. The game will launch in 2024.
Junction Point initially released Epic Mickey in 2010. Warren Spector, former developer on games such as Deus Ex and System Shock, sought to make a game inspired by Disney’s past and the aforementioned immersive sims.
UPDATE: According to a trailer released by THQ Nordic, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed will also be coming to the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
Epic Mickey: Rebrushed Announced, Releasing This Year
During the recent Nintendo Partner Showcase, THQ Nordic announced a remake of Epic Mickey. The “faithful” remake, titled Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, will feature several graphical and quality-of-life improvements. After the Direct, Nintendo posted a trailer of the game’s full intro with updated visuals. Check out the trailer below:
