2K Games and Lionsgate have released the first trailer for the upcoming Borderlands movie. The movie will premiere in theaters on August 9.
Borderlands is a beloved franchise that initially began in 2009. Over the years, the game has garnered a cult following, receiving several sequels, spin-offs, and more. The most recent entry in the series is Borderlands 3, available now on all consoles.
Borderlands Movie Trailer Revealed
2K and Lionsgate recently revealed the first trailer for the upcoming Borderlands movie. The movie will feature characters from throughout the franchise in a mostly original story. The film will premiere in theaters on August 9. Check out the first trailer for the movie below:
The major cast of the film is as follows:
- Cate Blanchett as Lilith
- Ariana Greenblatt as Tiny Tina
- Jack Black as Claptrap
- Kevin Hart as Roland
- Jamie Lee Curtis as Tannis
- Florian Munteanu as Krieg
Eli Roth, Director of Thanksgiving and Death Wish, will direct the film. Avi Arad, the producer of the Spider-Man franchise, the Uncharted movie adaptation, and the upcoming Legend of Zelda movie will produce this one. The trailer also has a synopsis of the upcoming film. It states:
Lilith (Blanchett), an infamous bounty hunter with a mysterious past, reluctantly returns to her home, Pandora, the most chaotic planet in the galaxy. Her mission is to find the missing daughter of Atlas (Ramírez), the universe’s most powerful S.O.B.
