Street Fighter 6 will add changes to button display and photo mode alongside the new Ed patch. This news comes after the X/Twitter account revealed updates before the release of Ed.
Players eagerly await Ed’s debut in Street Fighter 6 and are on the lookout for any new patch updates. However, Capcom wants to provide more than just character changes and a new character. Quality-of-life changes are on the menu for this upcoming patch, so here are the details.
Street Fighter 6 Making Button Display and Photo Mode Changes

On Street Fighter 6‘s official X/Twitter account, it was revealed that new changes would be added to button display and photo mode. For the photo mode, there will be a new feature called “Extra Lighting” which will make characters and objects easier to see when capturing them in dark places. For players who like taking pictures, this is a valuable quality-of-life change that provides more options to customize your experience.
The button display change is specific to the PC port of the game via Steam. PlayStation controller users on PC can switch button displays to PlayStation buttons. For most fighting games on PC, the default button display is on Xbox buttons. This is because of Windows being created by Microsoft, so it just defaults to Xbox layouts. For PlayStation users using PC for the first time, this can make things confusing.
The changes to photo mode and button display provide more excitement for the upcoming patch. Patch notes for characters are still not revealed, but you can expect to be informed on the latest changes to characters here at Final Weapon. The patch will be releasing along with Ed on February 27.
Street Fighter 6 is available now on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
