Manga UP! has released the first issue for a manga adaptation of Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent. The first issue released on January 30.
Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is a free-to-play mobile game set in the universe of Octopath Traveler. Square Enix initially released the game in 2018. The last major update for the game came out in August 2023.

Square Enix’s Manga UP! service has officially released the first issue of Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent‘s manga adaptation. Shibatarō Nakamura is credited for the series’ story. The full name of the series is Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent ~The Story of Bargello Family~. Anime News Network describes the series as follows:
The prequel manga depicts the encounters of Bargello as a young man and still as a nobody. Bargello, who lives his days with his friends in the town of Valore, accidentally saves a young woman who ran away from the greedy witch Herminia.
He finds a mysterious ring on the young woman’s hand, which is believed to have mysterious powers. After saving the young woman, Bargello and his friends find that their fates are now connected with Herminia.
