Konami announced the version 1.4.1 update for Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 is now for PC via Steam. Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 update 1.4.1 brings native Steam Deck support, allowing the title to display properly with the current button prompts.
Over the past four months, Konami has been working to improve the state of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 across all platforms. The most recent update for consoles, update 1.4.0, launched on January 9 with a plethora of gameplay improvements and feature updates. This update greatly improves the experience, and now Steam Deck owners can reap some benefits, too.
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 Update 1.4.1
According to Konami, update 1.4.1 of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1, brings Steam Deck support for Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and various bonus content. Metal Gear Solid 1, Metal Gear, and Metal Gear 2 are already compatible on Steam Deck, so these titles did not receive a new update. Patch notes for the latest update were not given.

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 includes the original Metal Gear Solid game, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Moreover, the collection includes Metal Gear (MSX, NES), Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX), and Metal Gear: Snake’s Revenge (NES). The original Metal Gear Solid title will include VR Missions and Special Missions, and Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater are based off of their HD Collection versions.
Moreover, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater may be purchased separately. However, Metal Gear (MSX, NES), Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake (MSX), and Metal Gear: Snake’s Revenge are exclusive to the collection.
Lastly, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
