Square Enix announced the Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link closed beta test for Android has been delayed to spring 2024. The closed beta test was originally planned to begin in January 2024 after the iOS closed beta test.
The previous beta test for Kingdom Hearts Missing Link was held in Japan from January 13 to January 18. The beta was exclusive to roughly 1000 Japanese players on iOS. At the time, Square Enix promised that Android users would be able to try out the game that same month, but plans have since changed.
Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link Android Closed Beta Test
The official Twitter account for Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link released a statement, announcing that the closed beta test was delayed to spring 2024. Square Enix determined that more adjustments needed to be made to the Android version. Participants for the closed beta test will be notified of their entry and the full schedule.
“The closed beta test of Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link for Android, which was set for January 2024, has been postponed. We apologize for the delay in notifying players and any inconvenience caused.
“The postponement of the Android version is due to the conclusion that further adjustments are necessary to ensure that the game can be played comfortably on a wider range of devices. The new date for the closed beta test is scheduled for spring 2024.
“We will announce the winners and the detailed schedule on this account. We appreciate for your patience. Thank you for your understanding and continued patronage.”
Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link was revealed alongside the highly-anticipated Kingdom Hearts IV during the 20th anniversary event in April 2022. Kingdom Hearts IV marks the beginning of the Lost Master arc, which is the “second phase” of the Kingdom Hearts series. Sora will explore the mysterious city of Quadratum, which is located in a separate universe regarded as “fiction” to the traditional Kingdom Hearts universe.
Lastly, Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link launches in 2024 for Android and iOS worldwide. Kingdom Hearts IV is currently in development for unannounced platforms.
