Square Enix announced SINoALICE will receive a new “fan movie” adaptation titled SINoALICE The Last Story, or SINoALICE Ichiban Saigo no Monogatari in Japanese, on February 23. The announcement was made exactly one week after the SINoALICE mobile RPG shut down on January 15 Japan.
The global version of SINoALICE reached its end of service on November 15. The Japanese version followed up exactly three months later, marking the end of support after more than six years of service. Although the game did not reach its intended ending, the end of the SINoALICE story will come in the form of a new movie.
SINoALICE The Last Story Movie Details and Staff
As the name suggests, SINoALICE The Last Story will be the finale of the franchise’s story that started with the mobile game in 2017. The film’s story is centered around Alice, a player of SINoALICE that takes her own life and wakes up in the world of the game. In this world, Alice meets Parrah and Noya. Fans in Japan may watch the film at participating theaters starting February 23.
Takuto Aoki, the SINoALICE manga writer, is directing the film. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown and SAND LAND developer ILCA will be producing SINoALICE The Last Story. NieR series composer Keiichi Okabe and studio MONACA will be composing the music. Moreover, the game’s voice cast will be reprising their roles.

One month before the movie’s premiere, Square Enix will host a SINoALICE End of Service Roundtable event on January 23, 2024. Four of the game’s key developers and operators will discuss their memories of the game. Fans in Japan may apply to attend the event at the Square Enix Members’ website. A total of 140 applicants will be chosen by lottery.
SINoALICE ended service on January 15, 2024 for Android and iOS.
