Bethesda Game Studios has announced that a major patch for Starfield, originally set to release today, will now release “later this week.” That said, they stated that “we’ll confirm timing when we know for sure,” so it is possible that it will release later than that.
Starfield is Bethesda’s first new franchise in almost twenty years. The game allows players to explore the galaxies, go on various quests, and partake in the ultimate sci-fi fantasy. Bethesda and Xbox released the game on the Xbox Series X|S and PC on September 6.
Starfield Major Patch Delay Details
In an official post, the Bethesda Game Studios Twitter/X account stated that a previously confirmed major patch for Starfield has been delayed. The patch would’ve released today, however, it may now release later this week. Although, Bethesda states that they’ll confirm an official release date once they iron out “an issue” they want to fix.
The patch will feature fixes to quests, stability, graphics, sun disk geometry, and more. Bethesda will reveal the full patch notes for the update closer to its release. Here’s an overview of Starfield via Steam:
