Oshi no Ko chapter 136 explained the jealousy and hate that Fuyuko Nino felt when Ai Hoshino, Ruby’s mother, joined B-Komachi. Nino lost her fame as Ai gained all of her fans, ultimately putting Nino to wish death on her. Despite the toxic mindset and behavior on display by Nino, Ai still believed in her as a friend. This only drove Nino to spiral out of control, since she could never reach the heights of Ai in and out of performances.
Forwarding back to the present, Kana realizes that the current predicament between herself and Ruby mirrors that of Nino and Ai. Like Nino, Kana believes Ruby is superior in nearly every way. This leads into a scene during the film where Ruby and Kana reenact Nino and Ai’s argument, with Nino wanting Ai to die. Although this is part of an act, Ruby is at her limit. She breaks down on the set, admitting that she hates everyone. It’s clear that chapter 137 is one that fans will not want to miss.
