    Love Live Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Game & Anime Movies Announced

    A new Nintendo Switch exclusive.

    During the “Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club 6th Live! I love You ⇆ You love Me” concert tour, a new game and trilogy of anime movies were announced. The new Love Live Nijigasaki High School Idol Club game will be a visual novel.

    In October 2020, the first season of Love Live Nijigasaki High School Idol Club anime premiered on Tokyo MX, Bandai Channel, Line Live, and YouTube Live. The second season would arrive three years later in April 2023, with simultaneous English subs from Crunchyroll. The anime would also receive an English dub, and fans may look forward to a trilogy of films serving as the series finale.

    Firstly, Bushiroad Games confirmed that the new Love Live Nijigasaki High School Idol Club game will be a Nintendo Switch-exclusive visual novel. The tagline reads “Your school life with the 12 girls, begins anew.” A new announcement trailer was revealed during the concert tour as well. Further details about the game, including a release date and price, were not revealed, however.

    During the same event, the franchise’s staff revealed the new Love Live Nijigasaki High School Idol Club anime trilogy will premiere with the first film on September 6, 2024. This trilogy will serve as the finale to the series’ story. The entire trilogy will be set after the previous two anime seasons and the Next Sky original video anime project. Staff and cast members from the anime series will return. To commemorate the announcement, a new key visual by illustrator Kerorira was released.

    Nijigasaki High School is known for their diverse subjects and the freedom they give to students. Second-year student Yu Takasaki has been turned on to the charms of school idols, so she knocks on the door of the School Idol Club with her friend, Ayumu Uehara. Sometimes friends, sometimes rivals, the members of this club each contribute their own thoughts and motivations to the group.
