C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield Second Limited-Time Demo Now Available

Another opportunity to try out Acquire's new RPG.

Acquire announced the second limited-time C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield demo is now available on PC via Steam. Several improvements have been made since the previous demo.

C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield is one of seven new Acquire-developed games releasing over the course of the next year. The upcoming game combines deckbuilding, traditional strategy RPG gameplay, and roguelike elements as one of Acquire’s first self-published releases on modern platforms. A limited-time demo for the game was available this past December, and fans who missed out will have another opportunity to play the game this month.

The second limited-time C.A.R.D.S. RPG: The Misty Battlefield demo will be available until January 21 at 9:59 a.m. EDT. Like the first demo, it will support Japanese, English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese language options.

Here’s a full list of improvements and enhancements made since the last demo:

    • Change of the specification of the card carry-over after clearing a stage
      • Before change: Only one card can be carried over.
      • New specification: Discard three cards from the deck and carry over all others.
    • Brushed up graphic resources such as maps and game UI
    • Adjustment of enemy difficulty
    • Improved operability – Comfortable play even with a gamepad
    • Adjustment of cards appearing in each stage
    • Adjustment of some card effects
    • Fixed bugs in some card effects

“At ease, soldier! We thank you again for all of your feedback provided in the last beta test,” Acquire said in a new Steam blog post. “The battle’s not over yet though – which is why we invite you to enlist once again in our second open beta test (demo) starting today! Thanks to your unwavering dedication, discipline, and courage, our development team have revised certain aspects of C.A.R.D.S based on your suggestions. We look forward to seeing your fighting spirit once more!”
