The SPY x FAMILY CODE: White anime film exceeds a major milestone in its third weekend in Japan, with over 4.4 billion yen in ticket sales! Roughly 3.3 million tickets for the film have been sold in Japan thus far.
The SPY x FAMILY Season 2 anime ran from October 7, 2023 to December 23, 2023. Unlike the first season, the second season only had 12 episodes. The popular anime series opened in theaters for the first time with SPY x FAMILY CODE: White on December 22 in Japan.
SPY x FAMILY CODE: White Third Weekend Sales
The SPY x FAMILY CODE: White movie continues to hold the #1 spot in Japanese theaters in its third weekend, according to Mantan Web. As of January 8, the film sold 3.29 million tickets in Japan, generating 4.41 billion yen in sales. This is roughly $30.6 million in sales, and there’s no sign of the film’s momentum stopping. Of course, fans will still want a third season of SPY x FAMILY sooner rather than later.
WIT STUDIO and CloverWorks produced the new film with Takashi Katagiri serving as director. Ichiro Okouchi is the scriptwriter, and Kazuaki Shimada is the character designer. Kana Ishida serves as the sub-character designer. Kyoji Asano is the chief animation director, and Kazuhiro Furuhashi is the animation supervisor. [K]NoW_NAME is the music producer with Shōji Hata as the sound director.
The opening theme song is “Soulsoup” by Official Hige Dandism. Gen Hoshino performs the ending theme song Hikari no Ato (Trails of Light). Crunchyroll will distribute SPY x FAMILY CODE: White in theaters next year, and more detail about the theatrical release are coming soon.
Currently, Street Fighter 6 fans may participate in a SPY x FAMILY CODE: White collaboration event. During the event, special SPY x FAMILY-themed items and cosmetics will be available. These cosmetics include stickers of Anya and avatar costumes of Loid and Yor Forger.
The new SPY x ANYA: Operation Memories game is available now for Nintendo Switch in Japan. In this new title, players may explore the daily life of Anya and take memorable photos with characters from the series. Lastly, the new game will release in 2024 across Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC worldwide.
