A new trailer for the ongoing Shangri-La Frontier anime series reveals the official theme songs for the second cour, which premieres on January 7, 2024. The second cour marks the beginning of a new arc titled “A Bouquet of Flowers with Love from this World.”
Katarina began the Shangri-La Frontier web novel series on the “Let’s Be Novelists” website in May 2017. The series grew in popularity and made its debut in Weekly Shonen Magazine just a few years later in July 2020. The anime premiered on October 1 as a two-cour series, and the first cour ran for 13 episodes.
Shangri-La Frontier New Theme Songs
FZMZ and icy perform the opening theme song “Danger Danger for the second cour of Shangri-La Frontier, while ReoNa performs the ending theme song “Gajumaru ∼Heaven in the Rain∼.” Both of the new theme songs for the Shangri-La Frontier second cour were revealed in the latest trailer. Moreover, an updated schedule for the Shangri-La Frontier anime series was revealed.

Shangri-La Frontier picks back up with episode 14 on January 7. However, the anime will take a break on January 14 and return with episode 15 on January 21. A Shangri-La Frontier special program will air on January 14 instead, according to the anime’s official website.
“A Bouquet of Flowers with Love from this World” arc begins with the second cour, which features two new characters. Setsuna Amatsuki (VA: Asami Seto) is an NPC that knows the secrets of Wezaemon the Tombguard (VA: Sho Hayami). Wezaemon is one of the unique monsters of the Seven Strongest Species.
New episodes of the Shangri-La Frontier anime series air weekly on Sundays at 5 p.m. JST in Japan across MBS and TBS networks. Fans outside of Japan may watch the Shangri-La Frontier anime on Crunchyroll. A total of 13 episodes were be released in the first cour, and another 13 episodes are expected in the second cour.
