Bandai Namco released a new Tekken 8 gameplay trailer for Shaheen, a returning playable character from Tekken 7! In Tekken 8, Shaheen is determined to uphold his close friend’s memory.
Just one month remains before the launch of Tekken 8, and Bandai Namco ensured the entire base roster was revealed before then. Moreover, a free Tekken 8 demo is available now, allowing players to try out the game’s single-player modes before launch.
Tekken 8 Shaheen Reveal & Gameplay Trailer
Hailing from Saudi Arabia, Shaheen is proficient in close quarters combat that returns to participate in the King of the Iron First Tournament in Tekken 8. He despises Kazuya Mishima for being complicit in the murder of Shaheen’s family and ultimately, the death of his best friend Salim.

Shaheen works for a private military firm and is investigating the mysterious death of his best friend. Utilizing his “peaceful” negotiation skills, he learns from an executive of the Middle East G Corp branch that the mastermind is none other than Kazuya Mishima. The wheel of fate must have been turning that day 13 years ago when, on the same day Shaheen lost his family, he saved Salim, a boy around the same age as him, from an assassin. It was the first time he had used the techniques his father had ingrained in him meant to bring down enemies to instead save another’s life.

The Tekken 8 demo is available now featuring the first chapter of “The Dark Awakens” story and a sample of Arcade Quest. In addition, players gain access to Super Ghost Battle after clearing the first chapter of Arcade Quest in the demo. The Versus and Gallery modes are also available with partial access. Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Paul Phoenix, and Nina Williams are the four playable characters for the Tekken 8 demo.
Lastly, Tekken 8 launches January 26, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Tekken 8 physical and digital pre-orders are now available, and players can score new Paul Phoenix avatar costumes as an added pre-order bonus.
