Bandai Namco released a new Tekken 8 gameplay trailer for Yoshimitsu, a Tekken and Soul Calibur series mainstay character. Yoshimitsu is allied with Dr. Bosconovitch, Alisa’s creator.
Just one month remains before the launch of Tekken 8, and Bandai Namco ensured the entire base roster was revealed before then. Moreover, a free Tekken 8 demo will be available starting December 14, allowing players to try out the game’s single-player modes before launch. Bandai Namco also gives a dedicated look into the returning Yoshimitsu with the latest trailer.
Tekken 8 Yoshimitsu Reveal & Gameplay Trailer
Yoshimitsu is the head of the Manji Clan and the inheritor of Manji Ninjutsu. He carries a cursed blade that drives him insane with rage and bloodlust. However, the Manji Clan elders help Yoshimitsu suppress the cursed blade’s will. In Tekken 8, Dr. Bosconovitch gives Yoshimitsu state-of-the-art armor before sending him off on a new journey. This journey will take him to Secret Manji Village, a location that the cursed blade leads him to.

Unlike the closed beta test, the Tekken 8 demo features only single-player modes. Players will have access to the first chapter of “The Dark Awakens” story and Arcade Quest respectively. In addition, players gain access to Super Ghost Battle after clearing the first chapter of Arcade Quest in the demo. The Versus and Gallery modes are also available with partial access. Jin Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, Paul Phoenix, and Nina Williams are the four playable characters for the Tekken 8 demo. The demo includes the Urban Square (Evening), Yakushima, and Sanctum stages as well. Save data from the demo will not transfer to the full game, and online play is not available in the demo, too.
Lastly, Tekken 8 launches January 26, 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Tekken 8 physical and digital pre-orders are now available, and players can score new Paul Phoenix avatar costumes as an added pre-order bonus.
