Ubisoft released a new gameplay overview trailer for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, highlighting the game’s mechanics before the demo releases. Producer Abdelhak Elguess shared some insight about the new game.
During The Game Awards 2023, Ubisoft released a new story trailer for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which confirms a free demo will be released. During this particular showcase, Ubisoft confirmed the game’s January 18, 2024 release date.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown ‘Gameplay Overview Trailer
The gameplay overview trailer for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown provides five minutes of actual in-game footage with additional insight behind mechanics. According to producer Abdelhak Elguess in a new blog post, the development team wanted players to actual explore outside of the castle this time around. The new setting, Mount Oaf, allows players to traverse many unique areas that aren’t closed off.
“One important thing we wanted with this Prince of Persia was to make players go outside of the castle,” said producer Abdelhak Elguess. “Often in Prince of Persia, the Prince is in a castle – but because we wanted to celebrate Persia, we wanted to go outside the castle. Mount Qaf allows us, because it is a mountain, to showcase many different outside areas for players, and to be sure that the players have some areas that are really open, and others that are more closed within the citadel.”
