Kotobukiya announced the officially licensed Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE Shinigami scale figure will release in June 2024. A fully colored prototype has been revealed, and pre-orders are available now.
A prototype of the new Shinigami scale figure was first revealed this past August at Mega Hobby Expo 2023, which was held at Akihabara’s AKIHA_SQUARE in Japan. The prototype lacked paint, since the figure was pending licensor approval.
Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE Shinigami Scale Figure Pre-Orders
Kotobukiya’s official Twitter account confirms that pre-orders for the Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE Shinigami 1/7 scale figure are now live. The figure releases in June 2024 for 25,300 yen including tax, and pre-orders are live within the Kotobukiya Online Shop. Made of PVC/ABS, the figure stands at roughly 210mm with the included pedestal.
Meanwhile, Good Smile Company will release its own Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE POP UP PARADE Shinigami and Yuma Kokohead figures. These two figures will ship sometime in Q1 2024 in the U.S. and Canada. Yuma may be seen in his sign attire raincoat worn after arriving in Kanai Ward, and Shinigami is in her human-like true form after summoning a Mystery Labyrinth.
Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE released on June 30, 2023 as the latest game by Danganronpa creator Kazutaka Kodaka. After waking up in a daze without his memories, protagonist Yuma Kokohead heads into Kanai Ward to begin his work as a detective to find a lead about his past. The game’s story quickly takes some twists and turns through multiple mysteries and investigations. Thus far, more than 300,000 players around the world have purchased Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE.
