Bandai Namco has revealed patch notes for Tekken 8 update 2.00.02. This is an emergency patch that addresses some of the current the issues occurring in season 2 so far. Listed below are the overall changes that will be included in this patch:

  • Increase Maximum Health to Allow for More Exchanges in Neutral
  • Gradual Adjustments to Overly High-Reward Moves
  • Rebalancing the Offensive and Defensive Aspects of the Heat System

The developers are aware that certain added moves and adjustments shifted too heavily toward offense in Season 2. As a result, they will be addressing issues in the following two stages:

  • Resolving issues that can be addressed quickly
  • Resolving issues that need to be reviewed over time based on fan feedback.

Additionally, Bandai Namco will release a patch in mid-May and will include adjustments for aerial combos and Heat Burst. The overall goals with Season 2 are to improve the Heat System and improve controls to strengthen defensive techniques.

Moreover, during the Anna Williams edition of Tekken Talk Live, Bandai Namco revealed that Tekken 8 Season 2 will feature multiple returning characters and a new stage celebrating the 45th anniversary of PAC-MAN. The DLC will be released throughout the summer and fall, and an all-new character and stage will be released in winter 2025. In total, Season 2 will feature six DLCs, with four characters and two stages. Also, Tekken 8 will soon collaboration with Koei Tecmo and Gust’s Atelier Yumia for free DLC.

Tekken 8 is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Additionally, Tekken 8 is officially a part of the EVO 2025 main game lineup. Stay tuned for more Tekken 8 guides and news at Final Weapon.
