HoYoverse announced Genshin Impact Version 4.3 “Roses and Muskets” launches on December 20. This major update marks the beginning of the Fontinalia Festival as Fontaine’s citizens celebrate peace following the end of a major crisis.
Genshin Impact Version 4.2 was the culmination of the Fontaine main story, but more updates are on the way with new limited-time events and playable characters. Version 4.3 is one of these updates as players await the next chapter in Genshin Impact’s story.
Genshin Impact Version 4.3 Celebrates the Fontinalia Festival
In Version 4.3, players will celebrate the Fontinalia Festival with a unique film festival. This event will honor the tradition of the legendary Lochknights, who welcomed the previous Hydro Archon Egeria to Fontaine. Furina, the Kamisato siblings, the Traveler, and Chiori will work together on a new film for this event. The Fontinalia Festival will also feature several mini-games ranging from designing a short film to marksman training. Players may win Theater Tickets from the mini-games to earn unique rewards, including the 4-star claymore “Ultimate Overlord’s Mega Magic Sword.”
Navia and Chevreuse will join Genshin Impact as playable characters in Version 4.3. Navia is a 5-star Geo claymore wielder and the president of Spina di Rosula. She’s capable of firing “Rosula Shardshots” from a gunbrella, and the number of shots is determined by accumulating Crystal Shrapnel from Elemental Shards or an Elemental Burst. Additionally, Navia’s Elemental Burst deals solid AOE Geo damage by bombarding her enemies.
Chevreuse is a 4-star Pyro polearm wielder and the captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol. She can fire bullets with her musket that deal AoE Pyro damage, and she may provide useful heals with her Elemental Skill. Chevreuse’s explosive grenade can split into multiple explosive shells on impact, too. Players may summon Chevreuse and Navia from the event wishes in Version 4.3. Navia will arrive first alongside a Kamisato Ayaka rerun in phase 1, followed by Chevreuse and reruns of Raiden Shogun and Yoimiya in phase 2.
Genius Invokation TCG will receive another major update with new cards, NPCs, and a limited-time Heated Battle Mode. A new Fontaine-style realm layout will be available for the Serenitea Pot. Moreover, players may look forward to new rewards from the Itto’s Beetle Battle event and Liben’s daily requests.
