After sufficient progress is made in The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk DLC, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet players may use a device known as the Synchro Machine. This machine allows them to see the world through their Pokémon’s perspective. While synchronized, players may move around as the Pokémon and battle other wild Pokémon. A scientist in the Terarium will guide players through the process after they help her with research.

Going forward, players will be able to fly wherever they please with the Legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon. The power of flight will help players explore the open world and reach their desired destinations much more quickly. However, certain criteria must first be reached.

After completing the main story of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 2: The Indigo Disk, a new character named Snacksworth will appear at Blueberry Academy. Players may earn snacks from Snacksworth by completing Blueberry Quests (BBQs) in the Terarium. These snacks enable encounters with certain Legendary Pokémon from throughout the series back in the Paldea region. Snacksworth will also share his knowledge about these Pokémon with the player. He also has his fair share of tall tales to explain.
