Netflix and the staff of the upcoming Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance anime have revealed a new trailer. The anime will be developed entirely in Unreal Engine 5 and will be coming soon to Netflix.
The announcement of Requiem for Vengeance comes in the wake of Gundam: The Witch from Mercury‘s success. Released in 2022, the anime is one of the most successful Gundam projects of the last few years. Additionally, a new VR project titled Gundam: Silver Phantom will also be releasing soon. Requiem for Vengeance is set to be a departure from what Witch from Mercury has established, however.
Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance Coming to Netflix
The staff of the upcoming anime Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance have revealed the first trailer for the series. Initially announced in July during Anime Expo 2023, the series will be developed entirely in Unreal Engine 5.
The anime will be set in the Universal Century chronology of the first Mobile Suit Gundam story and its sequels. Specifically, according to the anime’s director, Erasmus Brosdau, the story is told from the perspective of the Zeon faction. The series will contain six thirty-minute episodes. A release date is currently unknown.
