CD Projekt Red has officially announced in a recent sales earning that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has passed 4 million copies sold. The announcement comes a few months after the release of the Phantom Liberty expansion and a week before the release of the Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition.
CDPR initially released Cyberpunk 2077 in 2020. Critics initially criticized it for its rushed release, game-breaking glitches, and failure to stay true to the game’s initial promise. However, CD Projekt Red recently released both Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0. The recent expansion and patch have completely overhauled the game’s mechanics and brought it closer to the game’s initial promise.
Cyberpunk 2077 Sales Figures Get a Big Boost
In a recent sales earnings, CD Projekt Red confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has reached 4.3 million copies sold. Additionally, it has achieved a 20% attachment rate. 92% of reviews from the past 30 days are “very positive.” The game has also been nominated for several awards including best narrative, best ongoing, best community support, and best performance at The Game Awards.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Update 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty expansion are available exclusively on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The upcoming Ultimate Edition, which is bundled with Phantom Liberty, will release on December 5 for all aforementioned next generation consoles.
