Aniplex of America and Type-Moon announced Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-, also known as Tsukihime remake, is launching in summer 2024 in English. A new key art by Takashi Takeuchi has been revealed, and pre-orders for the visual novel are now live.
The English localization for Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- was announced at Anime Expo 2023, and news about the title has been steady ever since. The visual novel was rated by the ESRB just a few months after the official website launched in August. An announcement of some kind was imminent leading into November 2023, bringing fans to today’s update.
Tsukihime Summer 2024 Release Window Update
In a new Twitter post, Aniplex confirms that Limited Edition pre-orders for Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon-are now live, and the game will be releasing in summer 2024 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Aniplex notes that the release window is subject to change, and cover art has not been finalized yet. Moreover, the publisher released a new illustration by Takashi Takeuchi, the Type-Moon co-founder and main illustrator.

Released in August 2021 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan, Tsukihime -A piece of blue grass moon- is the first half of the Tsukihime remake project by Type-Moon. The remake includes a rewritten scenario by Kinoko Nasu with new characters and plot changes. The game’s story follows Shiki Tohno, a high school student who “sees the lines of death” after an accident in his childhood. The remake features the Near Side routes featuring heroines Arcueid Brunestud and Ciel.
Lastly, Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- releases in summer 2024 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in English. A PC version has not been directly confirmed by Aniplex of America just yet.
