Like a Dragon Gaiden English Dub Coming in Post-Launch Update

English subtitles are supported at launch.

The English dub for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be available in a post-launch update according to the game’s official website. Yong Yea, the English voice actor for Kazuma Kiryu, corroborated the disclaimer on Twitter

Kazuma Kiryu becomes a Daidoji Faction agent after the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. In a story told before the events of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Kiryu must adapt to his new life away from his family while dealing with the criminal underworld. Kiryu will experience more hardship in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, and fans will need to wait a little bit longer after release to experience the game’s English dub.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name English Dub Update

The English dub for Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will not be available on launch day, so fans must wait for a post-launch update. A release date has not been announced for the update, but Yong Yea hopes fans look forward to it all the same. English text/subtitles will still be available at launch. Although Yong Yea is unable to elaborate on the status of the English dub for Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, he notes that the Steam page suggests a simultaneous release for the English and Japanese dub on launch day.

A Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth special trial version will be available with Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. This new demo allows players to experience exclusive bonus content for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth after completing Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name’s main story.

Lastly, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name launches digitally on November 9 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The game will be available on day one with Xbox Game Pass.
