    Splatoon 3 Splatoween Event Announced, Voting Opens October 20

    Halloween comes to Splatoon 3.

    On Friday the 13th, Nintendo announced that the Splatoon 3 Splatoween event will arrive on October 27 as one of the game’s most anticipated Splatfests yet. Voting for the Splatoween event begins on October 20. 

    The theme of Splatoon 3 Splatoween is “Which would be the best friend?”. Players will have the option of siding with Zombie, Skeleton, or Ghost starting October 20 at 1 a.m. PDT. After choosing an option, players will compete in online matches to earn points for their side starting October 27 at 5 p.m. PDT.

    Splatoween will last from October 27 at 5 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. EDT to October 29 at 5 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. EDT. Results from the event will be announced shortly after it concludes, so fans will want to stick around on the night of October 29 to see which team wins. Before and during the Splatfest, players will be able to obtain Splatoween-themed gear by visiting  the Splatoon 3 channel in News on Nintendo Switch.

    Members of Deep Cut (Shiver, Frye, and Big Man) and the Squid Sisters will be wearing attire befitting of the Halloween season during the Splatfest. Inkopolis will be appropriately decorated during Splatoween. Be sure to check out the screenshots below, via Nintendo’s Splatoon Twitter account

    Splatoon 3 fans may also look forward to the Side Order expansion, which focuses on Pearl and Marina from Splatoon 2. The DLC will be available for those who have already purchased the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass. The Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass is available now on the Nintendo eShop for $24.99.
