Nearly three years after the manga began, The Eminence in Shadow Season 1 premiered in October 2022. Season 2 of the anime made its debut on October 4, 2023, exactly one year after the first season made its debut. Although season 2 is shorter, Cid’s story is quite an eventful one nonetheless.
The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 Episode 3 Release Date
Episode 3 of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 will premiere on Wednesday, October 18 at 10:30 p.m. JST on channel AT-X in Japan. Fans outside of Japan may watch new episodes of The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 on the HIDIVE streaming service with English subs. Fans can expect English dubs to arrive at a later date.

Some people just aren’t suited to playing the part of the flashy, in-your-face hero or the dastardly, mustache-twirling villain with larger-than-life panache. Instead, they operate in the shadows and pull the strings of society through wit and cleverness. That’s the role Cid wants to play when he’s transported to another world. Cid spins a yarn or three and becomes the unlikely leader of the underground Shadow Garden organization that fights against a menacing cult (which he totally made up).
